Version 2026-10-draft-2
1. What we are and are not
Hainaner is not an insurer, insurance agent, insurance broker or loss adjuster, and holds no insurance intermediary licence.
So we do not underwrite or sell insurance, arrange or submit applications for you, collect, pass on or hold premium, take part in underwriting, cancellation or claims, or give you insurance advice or a suitability assessment. The insurance contract is only between you and the insurer.
2. What the page is
The travel insurance page collects publicly available plan details from insurers (such as the type of cover, summary amounts, activities, filing number and a link to the policy wording) so you can see what exists and where to learn more and buy.
The information may be incomplete or out of date. The insurer's own product page, policy wording, pre-contract notes and the contract itself control. Check the cover, limits, excess, waiting period, exclusions and eligible ages in the insurer's formal documents.
“Filter by activity” only filters plans by whether the public wording mentions cover for that activity; it is not an assessment of or advice for you. Order and position on the page are not a rating of quality and may be influenced by our commercial relationships.
3. How buying works
When you choose “View plan and buy”, you leave Hainaner for the page of the insurer or its authorised platform. The application, your duty of honest disclosure, payment of premium, issue and lookup of the policy, cancellation in the cooling-off period and claims all happen there under its own terms and privacy policy.
Read the policy wording carefully before buying, especially the terms that exclude or limit the insurer's liability and your duty to disclose truthfully. You may ask the insurer to explain those terms.
4. How we earn money (referral fee disclosure)
We may receive a referral or service fee from an insurer or its partners, for example when a purchase is completed after your click. We charge you nothing and do not make you pay anything extra because of it.
We cannot verify each channel's pricing arrangements, so we do not promise that a price reached through this page is the same as or lower than buying directly from the insurer.
5. Mainland China residents and visitors from abroad
To follow Chinese insurance regulation the page separates audiences. For residents of mainland China we show only products of insurers lawfully established in mainland China, with their filing number, and no price on this page.
Products of overseas insurers are for visitors who live outside mainland China. By choosing “visiting from abroad” you state that you are not a resident of mainland China; residents of mainland China must choose the mainland section and may not buy an overseas insurer's product through this page.
6. Personal information
When you click through to an insurer we record the click (the page, the plan and the time). It is linked to your visitor ID or account only if you have accepted analytics cookies. We do not give the insurer your name, email or other personal information; the insurer's page receives only a referral identifier and a random click number used to match the referral.
What you enter on the insurer's page is handled by the insurer under its privacy policy. See the Privacy Policy.
7. Risk notes
Before buying insurance, take particular care with:
- typhoons and other storms already warned of or named are usually known risks at the time you buy and are excluded by most policies; buy before a storm forms;
- diving, surfing, paragliding, climbing and similar activities often have depth, grade or instructor-qualification limits and may need extra cover or be excluded;
- pre-existing conditions, pregnancy, driving after drinking or without a licence and similar situations are usually excluded;
- the cooling-off period, waiting period and excess are as set in the policy wording.
8. Complaints, corrections and contact
For questions about a product, underwriting or claims, contact the insurer directly; complaints about an insurer can also be made to the National Financial Regulatory Administration's consumer hotline, 12378.
If you find information on this page wrong or out of date, or a plan that does not follow the rules above, contact hello@hainaner.com and we will check and correct or remove it promptly.
